Song Writting

I love writing songs and I hate writing songs. Sometimes my thoughts will flow and I can write some of the best stuff ever but then when I try and go back to play it, nothing! I forget most of the cool stuff I write. I also get stuck on the few chord combination's I know which makes for every song to sound the same.

When I sit down to write the music usually comes first. But lately I have been trying to switch things up a little bit. I need to start writing my ideas down more often and right when they hit me.

My ultimate dream would be to play on a stage for people that are there to see me and enjoy my lyrics I wrote and maybe they might know a word or two. That happened once in high school. I wrote a song in a band I was in and we had a decently sized showed and after the show and posting the song on our site, people started singing it in the halls and downloading it from the site.

There is no better feeling than to have someone you don't know singing what you wrote.

Someday with much needed practice I will be able to achieve that level of writing.

o and i love jordan becuase i know she will read this and i just wanted to say that to her

It's too cold outside

Today I really wanted to go outside and take some pictures and go on a photo hunt but the weather just sucks and it is way to cold outside.

Yesterday, I had the strangest feeling when I went to the bank. It's the feeling you get when you think someone is watching your every move. I pull in the bank and see the sea of cars in the drive thru lanes and drive up atm. I am not that lazy and can park and walk to the other atm. So, I park and get out and go up the the atm. I'm just about to put my card in when a young boy no older than 13 comes up behind and for some reason I feel like he is trying to peak at my information. I hurry up with what I am doing at the atm and get back to the car.

Valentines Day is over....364 days to go

What is about Valentine's Day makes everyone act a bit different.  My Valentine's Day this year was the best I have ever experienced.

Not blogging in a while, I thought this would be a good place to pick back up.

My girlfriend's parents came in town and we meet them at Stone Canyon for pizza.  Before my girlfriend and I went to the nearest grocery shop to get them flowers.  Walking in late her parents were already sitting down at a table near the door.

We sat down and ordered some tasty pizza that is over priced.  Talking about the past week and sharing stories with each other we ate some pizza and then decided to get back to the dorms to show our new additions to the family.

Getting back we all made it up to my room and I put Sherwood in his little ball and he took off.  The next stop on the day was Zona Rosa to find high heeled boots for my girlfriend.  This took quite away because they knew we were coming and hide all the boots.

Finally finding boots after buying a grey shirt to wear for the night she had to change her outfit a few times to make everything work.

Okay....now it was time for the fun to start.  I created a scavenger hunt to do throughout the whole campus and the final stop was me and a few gifts.  She had to take a picture at each stop to make it more interesting.

I got one of the best gifts I have ever seen in my life.  My girlfriend made me a scrap book of everything we have been through and everything about us.  It was amazing!

We saw He's Just Not That Into You, and it was actually pretty good.  The whole connection between each actor and how they were connected to everyone.  A lot of love and anger and a large mix of emotions.  I was a good date movie.

We got out of the movie around 10pm and headed to Westport for some food.  Ending at McCoy's, we got there right before the kitchen closed.  We were starving and got our food and created a little mini game and we thought about everyone's story.  We would try and create a full life story for someone we would pick out.

This was a great, fun, and loving day!!!

The Weekend

This weekend was one to remember.  It consisted of a roller-coaster of emotions.  Friday was eventful.  I went to the Westport area to go with girlfriend to get her hair cut at this place called, Lady Luck.  This place was a bit different from what I am used to seeing.  Most of the stylist were tatted up and all of them had a vibrant fake hair color.  About half way through her cut, I decided to get mine cut and asked the guy if he had time.  He did and said how do you want your hair?? I said I don't know short and choppy. He replied with, "Ok I will fuck your hair up!" ... Whatever it's just hair...I left there feeling like he didn't do anything to my hair besides style it differently and so I called him and my and girlfriend turned around to go back and get more cut off.

That night I remembered that it was the first, First Friday's of the season and I was so pumped for it.  I wanted other to feel as excited as I was and told them that it was Huge Free!! festival of music and art and I got 4 others to join me in my journey.  We got down town to the crossroads district and it was the hardest thing to find a parking spot but we finally found one in a random pizza place's parking lot.

After that me and my girlfriend were hungry so we made the other people we were with go with us to McCoys Pub House to eat, because i was driving.  We go there and my girlfriend would not let me forget that I owed he money and so she said to just buy her dinner.  She asked me what to get between two items on the menu and I picked the one that sounded least likely for me to eat and she LOVED it.  It was a black bean veggie burger....she is a vegetarian.

After we left I remembered my friend telling me about this DJ concert going on in Kansas just of the river and I wanted to go.  I dropped the others off and me and my girl tried to find this place.  My buddy every direction over the phone to me and never told what the place was called.  How was I supposed to find it??  I called him numerous times, each of them I became more upset until I just gave up and went back to the dorms.  I was tired and so was my girl.

I later found out the next day that the concert was SICK!! He told me it was like 8 Mile and there was a real live drummer mixed with DJ's and MC's all rapping.

I shouldn't have given up.

Well that's only Friday....Saturday and Sunday were two big day's as well but that's a whole nether story for a later date, it I remember.

I should of kept my mouth shut.

I stayed up way to late last night just to watch America's Best Dance Crew from the previous week. I missed the last weeks show becuase of my radio show I had. So, today I woke up just before my 8:45am class to find myself sitting next to a girl who didn't understand or know what a tissue was and constantly snorted her snot further back into her head.

Oh and I was very close to calling another out in front of the whole class becuase she came in almost 20 min late and does this every single Thursday when we have presentations every Thursday.

I am sitting at work while my boss and his friend get to enjoy the weather outside and walk to get some lunch down the street. I need the moeny but I shouldn't have open my big mouth and said I would come in Thursday. Damn.

Where did everyone go?

It's Wednesday, almost 1pm and everyone is gone. I guess that's what you get when you don't play sports and everyone else does. They are all off getting fit and all sweaty and I am here creating my first blog site.

This blog site was inspired by my feature writing professor, John Lofflin. He is not like any average professor. He pretty much lets you know whats up in plain english and doesn't mind what you think. His stories set in the scene and make you feel like your in a movie acting the scene out and he is the director.

Over the next few weeks, I am going to try this blogging thing out and see how it works and see if I even like it. But for now I got to go find something to do. Maybe go to the bank and freak out on them becuase they fucked up my money again.
